Welcome

Introduction

Welcome to the Java Notes wiki (notes in the form of wiki).
You will find here lot of resources that help you in understanding the Java language and the various concepts associated with it. The Wiki will also help you in preparing for the SCJP exam. The Wiki has just begun it's journey and I hope to have you along with many others join it's amazing journey :).
The Java version used for this Wiki will be Java 6 [unless specifically mentioned].
On the SCJP front, the exam covered is 310-065.
Please note that this is not an effort to write something new about Java. This wiki is just an attempt towards providing a set of good notes. Hence, whatever is written here may also be from books currently in the market or from other sites and forums. References will be provided as and where required.
But yes, this will be an attempt to keep notes as something which can be reviewed on the go.

OK..thats a very brief intro about this site. I hope to receive a good feedback and visits. :)

Who are We

We are a group of programmers currently working in the industry on the Java platform and having a number of years of experience in hand.

Why do this

We found a lack of consistent and easy-to-refer notes on the Web. Also the various resources available on the Web are too diffused and require a bit of organisation and watering-down to understand easily. Hence the Wiki.

Can I contribute

Yes you can! Just create an account in Wikidot.com and register for the Wiki. Our Java Notes Wiki administrators will take care of the rest.
